ABOUT THE MUSIC ACADEMY OF NC
Established in 1982, The Music Academy of NC enables students of all ages, interests, abilities, and backgrounds to discover, develop, realize, and express their inherent talents. We believe that the creative act of engaging with music is a beneficial and important pursuit and we are passionate about sharing it with others. In teaching and learning, practicing and performing, listening and feeling, expressing and sharing, we make a tremendous difference in the lives of countless individuals through music. While private lessons are our core, we offer group classes, ensembles, summer camps, recitals, recording services, adult specific programming, masterclasses, workshops, and more. Programs and activities take new shape each year to best reflect the expertise of our artist faculty and the needs of our students. Through partnerships with schools and retirement communities, performances in diverse public venues, grant-funded educational programming to underprivileged populations, and more, the Music Academy is a meaningful presence in our city, county, and beyond.
The Music Academy is committed to a policy of equal employment opportunity, and does not discriminate in the terms, conditions, or privileges of employment because of race, color, national origin, sex, pregnancy, age, disability, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or veteran status.
