The Music Academy has a longstanding history of nurturing the creative spirit. We provide a safe and encouraging environment for students to discover and develop their inherent talents, we create opportunities for students to collaborate and create shared experiences, and we inspire and bring joy to the community through musical performances.
As a creative hub in the Greensboro community, we instill pride in the individual which in turn positively impacts and strengthens the community as a whole.
The Lessons for Life Outreach Program creates equitable access to the wide array of musical programs and activities The Music Academy offers. We determine the barriers and then create pathways to overcome them. The Music Academy subsidizes the cost of every lesson, offers further financial assistance to those demonstrating need, provides free music instruction to support and further develop Guilford County School music programs, produces family-friendly concerts to introduce different styles of music to students attending Title 1 schools, and collaborates with many senior service organizations to provide music programs and activities to the aging population in our community.
We enjoy partnering with local schools to provide sectionals and instrument petting zoos. In addition, our Lessons for Life Outreach program enhances our community with a free summer children's concert series and an opportunity to play and learn about different instruments at Carolina Kids Club. Learn more about these programs on our Summer Fun for Kids page.
The Music Academy is proud to partner with the Guilford County Schools, local private schools, family support organizations, senior service centers, and local retirement communities to ensure the residents in Guilford County have access to exceptional music education and experiences.
If your organization is interested in partnering with MANC, email us at info@musicacademync.org and our Director of Partnerships and Community Outreach will be in contact with you to discuss.
