MANC is a dynamic community of music lovers. No matter your age, ability, or ambition, we invite and encourage you to join our family as a student, supporter, listener, or volunteer.
Friday, July 18 & Saturday, July 19
Be part of a rock band in this 2-day rock band intensive, learn 1-2 songs, essential skills, have private lessons, culminating with a rock show on Saturday night! Your band experience starts with attending "The Nonprofits" gig at Joymongers on Thursday night, July 17. Then come to MANC at 12:30 pm on Friday, July 18 and talk about what you heard and saw. Afterward, we launch into sectionals and band rehearsals. Saturday begins with sound gear and set up, then "How to Save a Performance" workshop, 2 hours of rehearsal, sound check, and the gig in MANC's parking lot!! We would love to have 2 'school-age' bands, and one adult band. Lunch and dinner will be provided on Saturday.
All students should submit a video (MP4 via phone) upon registration using this form, https://forms.gle/5D1vU3JygBZXNEPZ9, to show their level and skill. This will help the faculty put the bands together before the camp.
Students will receive 2 forty-five-minute lessons as part of the rock band intensive camp. These lessons will be scheduled with the teacher of their instrument; lessons will take place before the camp.
