Who We Are

recording studioMany people know that The Music Academy provides private lessons and group classes in the community, but we do so much more!

Each music department hosts an annual festival and/or competition, and we invite our own students as well as any outside musicians to come play or sing for comments, compete in competitions, participate in our festival workshops and galas, or just come to hear our masterclasses or concerts.

Our facilities enable all this with large and mid-sized spaces for performances and ensemble rehearsals, and we make these spaces available to rent to outside groups for rehearsals, meetings, and performances.

Our artist faculty are each highly skilled professional musicians, with most holding advanced degrees in their field, giving individual and/or group lessons and they are also available to perform at special events in the area.

Our recording studio is full of the latest recording equipment, and our tracking room is large enough to accommodate a rock band or a small ensemble and is equipped with a Kawai 5’9″ grand piano. We even offer recording engineering classes and can DJ special events.

To make all of this happen takes a special community of students, families, faculty, staff, and volunteers, who also serve on committees and our board. As a non-profit we are so grateful for the help from our many volunteers on a day-to-day basis as well as for special events. Please consider becoming a volunteer.
